Log Files

SWOP follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Email And Address Data

Generally SWOP asks for as little information as possible to facilitate our service. We believe in the lean data approach.

How do we use email and address data from our users?

• For registration purposes to offer user accounts that are bound to the this/these email address(es).
• To offer a mechanism to authenticate users to provide access to an administrative interface that allows to make changes to their account.
• To send invoices to in the chosen subscription interval or other information related to the users SWOP account.
• Addresses provided by the user through the contact form are not stored permanently and only used to get back to the user's contact request.
• Address Data:
• Post addresses and names are only used to fulfill the legal requirements for valid invoices.

How long is email and address data stored for?

As this data is only needed and used to facilitate our service, this data is stored indefinitely as long the users account remains active. A user account can be terminated/deleted at any time via the administration pages or by contacting us via email.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, SWOP uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences as well as active sessions after a successful login attempt. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.
